First squash on the way June 28, 2020

Enjoying all the peas

Dahlia did not open in time.
My fushcia seems to have died so I put in something else.  It is kind of a weed but the flowers are pretty.
I have fed the tomato plant with blossom end rot the skim milk twice now.

June 25, 2020 Blossom end rot but other than that....

Lots of peas. Made Chicken rice and used the snow peas and snap peas to make assam sambal

Tom found these white (shelves) as he cleaned out the garage and we are hoping some of the cukes will go right up there.

Picked this one up at King Soopers, echinachea.  Needed something there. Hope it survives. Alma's hydrangea is not looking good.  And for some reason all the marigolds are dying.

Dug out that one rose bush that had not blossomed in years.  Fed the others with the coffee tea grinds and with plenty of water to soak in.

Last week this snap dragon looked awful.  Unlike Petunias, they die and then it takes 2 weeks to return

excited about these! I think they are Early Girl

First red ones
Love this pink one. These just spread around.  A person on the street had so many of these in a bed and now I get it. They don't plant them every day.
Well, Salvia are pretty much over.

These were $1 each at KS so made this little succulent garden

So this is one of those echineacia that came back. The poppy behind JUST stopped blooming.

I think the lettuce is done.  I was going to replant but decided against it.  No blossoms on the zucchini yet so a bit anxious about that.

June 14, 2020 Getting hot

Here is the baby kale and lettuce

Note to self: do not plant bok choy. The leaves were okay but not the stems.  very tough

I think this was around June 10, maybe.  Cut that volunteer lettuce a second time
Saw Bee balm at Walmart and got it as bees must come or there will be no squash
I pick the spinach each morning when I make eggs.

Check out the pea blossoms

This is Jupiter's beard.  Wish I could get it to bloom elsewhere
Tomatoes are already here, just green.  I have to water the tomatoes and the big dahlia often twice a day.  It's been windy as well and that dries everything out.

I've been Miracle Gro-ing the flowers on Thursdays.

Today I did an organic fish fertilizer that I've had for 10 years on the veggies.  Smells awful.
The rose from Nancy Fritz planted in 1999 after my wrist surgery
I picked a lot of argula yesterday

Getting bigger and wet from the fish fertilizer

Yay, snapdragons have bloomed again

I have to water twice a day but that ugly bulb is bringing forth this flower

Second blooming of teeny dahlia

 Check out the tomatoes!

June 6, 2020 Gardens take a lot of time

The petunias are the wave kind and starting to fill in.

A stupid squirrel has dug some holes.  And Tom had chased off a rabbit. And we are using human urine to try to keep rabbits away

Yep, tomatoes already but the pots fell over in our big wind storm

I love this green, yellow ground cover. I transplanted some to the pine tree garden. Maybe I will do more

Trying to keep the Alma hydrangea and lily of the valley alive

New poppy flag!

The yellow petunia doing well.  Ended up transplanting a red petunia from somewhere to this other pot

Look at the dahlia

Got this pink geranium. Need more geraniums.

Garden by the grill

Planning to think out the squash and cukes so trying to find homes for them

Bok Choy has flowered!
