August 5,2018 More beetles and those Italian cucumbers are terrific

I wonder if the garden is at it's peak now.  In a way that would be good since I am around in August.  Tomatoes galore. I made fresh salsa for our Mexican meal Friday night.

The Italian cucumbers did not look like I expected but they are really good.  I've not opened the bell shaped what-I'd-hoped were butternut squash but planning on making soup

The beetles are upsetting.  Paula showed me a beetle trap and I found it on Amazon.  Will probably get next year. I've been drowning them.  I've not seen a lot especially seeing all the ones that were in Paula's yard.

Alex opened the pickles that were 3 weeks old and they were really good!

I've given away 15 of the 40 zucchini.  Cucumbers counting the Italian cukes are 36, given away some of those too but not as many.

interesting that Summer Squash count is 5.  One got really big and ended up in soup.  I've had a lot of green beans but only from the beans by the Rowe's fence not in the pots.  Nothing in the pots but a small spaghetti squash. There is a spaghetti squash in the corner plot as well but they are not thriving.
