Do you trim the green wilted part at any point before you store the bulbs?
You first cut off the flower, when it wilts so that it won’t start setting seeds, which will take too much energy from the bulbs
Then you leave the green a while so that it can energize the bulb.
And you’re right: you can cut off the wilted green when you put them away.
