Friday night, the storm blew in and I covered the veggie garden. There were just tiny little sprouts coming in. I had planted a few petunias and they had "hats" on. The rest of the annual were in the house.
The lilacs even survived. By Monday, all the snow was gone
So on Tuesday, I planted the annuals. I really wanted them out of the house so I could wash my floor. Tom aerated that day, his shoe method. We wished we had know that it was going to POUR rain but the weather man had it wrong....
We went to the office on Wednesday morning in driving rain. The grass seed, rats!
Wednesday evening there was sort of a frost warning. Not wanting to take any chances, I covered things.
Here is what I have done in terms of planting of annuals:
I also just spread the wildflower seed everywhere along the Mormon family fence, some in near the Lamb's ear in the Northeast corner garden, and also near the Iris' at the Rowe's fence. We'll see what happens.
Some of the Wildflower seeds are sprouting near the house!
Alas, to my dismay, no hummers yet. Still hoping and actually praying about it!
